国際会議ICAPPSに参加しました

2026年8月20日（木）にインドネシアの首都ジャカルタにあるUNIVERSITAS TARUMANAGARAで開催された"International Conference of Asia-Pacific Planning Societies "(ICAPPS)に大学院１年生が参加し，英語で論文発表を行いました．

発表した論文は，

Urban Transportation Issues Based on Future Demand Forecasts with Changing Trip Generation Rates

(生成原単位の変化を考慮した将来交通需要に基づく都市交通の問題)

というタイトルの論文です．

タイトル　Urban Transportation Issues Based on Future Demand Forecasts with

Changing Trip Generation Rates

概要　In recent years, Japan has faced a declining population, accompanied by a decrease

in total travel demand. In addition, trip generation rates (TGRs), which represent the number

of trips per person per day, have declined. Under these circumstances, the sustainability of

public transportation has become a major problem due to the declining number of its users,

particularly in rural areas. An approach for sustainable regional public transportation is to

accurately forecast travel demand and implement measures to secure public transportation

for users. However, many existing travel demand forecast studies have rarely considered

changes in TGRs. Therefore, this study proposes a travel demand forecast method that

incorporates changes in TGRs. Based on the forecast results of the proposed method, the

implications for public transportation use were investigated. The results indicate that the

proposed method generally captures past trends in travel demand. The results also suggest

that total trip generation will decrease by more than 10 million trips by 2050.
